Curriculum

Salus Group Academy will assist all students in their efforts to complete training programs by all methods available and reasonable. Trainers are responsible for ensuring that all students are aware they can contact their trainer or other Salus Group Academy staff members if they are experiencing difficulties with any aspect of their studies. Staff will ensure students have access to the full resources of Salus Group Academy to assist them in achieving the required level of competency in all nationally recognised units of competency.

If a student is experiencing personal difficulties, training staff will encourage the student to contact Salus Group Academy management, who will provide discreet, personalised and confidential assistance according to the nature of the difficulties. If issues are impacting the student’s study, course deferral may be discussed.

Where a student’s needs exceed the capacity of the support services Salus Group Academy can offer, they will be referred to an appropriate external agency. These needs may be academic needs or personal needs. Extensive information regarding support agencies, resources and services may be sourced online. Salus Group Academy staff members will assist students to source appropriate support.

Students who demonstrate slow progress will be supported as required. Students can seek support at any time by discussing their needs with the trainer and assessor or staff at Salus Group Academy.

Full details of specialist support agencies Salus Group Academy may access are included in the Salus Group Academy Student Handbook.
